Hi guys, this is Darci with Bobbi Bullock Medical Esthetics, and for today’s vlog, we are going to talk about treatment for men. So a lot of our clients in practice are typically women, but that does by no means mean that men cannot be treated or that men are not good candidates for treatment.

Most of the time when we have men coming in, their primary issue is related to their stomach or their abdominal area, and who doesn’t wanna have a six pack all the time? So when we look at treating men, one thing we really have to pay attention to is is there any visceral fat affecting the treatment or area of opportunity that would be a non-responding tissue or a difficult responding tissue.

So subcutaneous fat is the fat that the machine really likes, and visceral fat is a harder, firmer fat that’s deeper and more dense, and it’s brown fat, and it’s actually layered over the organs. That fat is not treatable. So if you’re a man and you’re considering treatment, a good way to gauge if you’re a candidate or not is to gauge if your tissue in your stomach that you’re wanting to have treated is squishy and pliable. That is good subcutaneous fat. Visceral fat is much harder and can sometimes create the distended tummy. We also treat the love handles on the men, and those areas respond very well, and for a lot of men, we treat the submental. So yes, men are good candidates for treatment, and we’d love to see you guys coming in and taking care of yourselves, as well.

So CoolSculpting is really for everyone, and good candidates are just those who have nice subcutaneous tissue that we can treat. So I hope that helps, and we’ll see you guys next week. Stay tuned for our next vlog.
